Alumni Community – A Vital Part of Your Recovery
The Cabin recognises that aftercare and relapse prevention play a pivotal role in helping clients avoid potential threats to their sobriety and in maintaining lasting recovery. And key to aftercare and relapse prevention is having access to support networks and recovery resources through as many channels as possible. To this end, The Cabin supports and fosters participation by all former clients in our Alumni Community; made up of peers, current staff and aftercare providers from across the globe. As well as providing access to numerous aftercare and relapse prevention resources, the community supports a range of events such as reunions, training, conferences and seminars, as well as more informal gatherings, on topics around recovery support and achieving lasting recovery.
Alumni Community – What’s on Offer?
Online Video Aftercare Programme
When a client leaves The Cabin they are just beginning their journey of recovery and face many challenges and temptations as they start their new life back home. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, we have created a special online Cabin Alumni Community featuring our popular Online Video Aftercare Programme – a programme that allows past clients to continue to interact with each other and receive support from our counselling team. Conducted securely online, both group and individual counselling sessions are available weekly.
Peer Support Network
We also encourage alumni to participate in our Peer Support Network whereby ex-clients and addiction professionals from your local area commit to supporting each other through regular meetings and other events. With ex-clients living successfully in recovery all over the globe, The Cabin Chiang Mai boasts access to recovery support almost anywhere. The network allows members to offer support to other members living in or visiting their area, as well as providing access to local professional services.
