Shoheli Biswas
Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Yoga Therapist
Meditation and Yoga has been a part of Shoheli’s life from early childhood and she works at all levels of Mind, Body and Soul, having successfully practiced alternative healing methods in India for a decade before joining The Cabin.
She is well versed in a variety of meditation methods but her practice is mainly influenced by the Paramhansa Yogananda Ashram, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, Shivananda Ashram, Ramakrishna Mission and Buddhism.
Shoheli initially studied yoga for self-healing but upon realising the tremendous benefits she trained to be able to teach it to others. She studied at The Bihar School of Yoga, later The Shivananda Yoga and finally she did the teachers training programme of Integral Yoga at Aurobindo Ashram.
Integral yoga is a transformational yoga and has an integral approach to physical health, emotional balance, mental and spiritual clarity. It puts together the true essence and practice of yoga from the Gita, the Hatya Yoga, the Raja Yoga and the Tantric Yoga – it makes yoga not merely physical practice but includes meditation and pranayamas, and above all it promotes a way of life.
