Brian Russman began his career in the fields of mental health and addictions over 14 years ago. He assists clients with addictions, trauma, and other mental health issues into recovery by using the latest evidence based treatments.
Brian’s education includes a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University; and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Barry University.
He is a Licensed Psychotherapist in the State of Florida LCSW lic. # SW 12366.
He is a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (Brian has completed his training under Dr. Patrick Carnes CSAT model), a Certified Addiction Professional, an EMDR Certified Trauma Therapist Level 1&2; and has been trained cyber addictions as well.
Brian has over 14 years of direct clinical experience in Mental and Behavioral health care. His experience includes working for The State of Florida as a Substance Abuse Counselor in the forensic and correctional settings assisting residents suffering with major mental illness gain recovery skills and tools.
Brian’s role at The Cabin Chiang Mai is currently:

- Brian oversees the clinical services provided at The Cabin group and he has written and developed The Cabin’s Family Program and Sex Addiction /Sexual Health Treatment Program.
Brian holds several Post Graduate credentials in both Trauma and Addiction Treatment. He is a Trauma informed therapist and EMDR level 1&2 certified practitioner.
His areas of specialty include all forms of addiction and trauma therapy, Sex Addiction, Addicted and dysfunctional family systems, Codependency and Relational problems, Partner betrayal and treatment, and Program development and implementation.
