Opening of Asia’s first Intensive Outpatient Programme (IOP) - The Cabin Hong Kong
We are pleased to announce the opening of our first outpatient addiction treatment centre in Hong Kong. In operation since February, we want to offer a solution to those functioning members of society suffering from addiction who cannot take time off from their professional and personal obligations to enter residential rehab.
In Hong Kong, these individuals can now sign up for our intensive outpatient programme (IOP) and receive the same type of treatment that they would in Chiang Mai because it also uses our Recovery Zones treatment model. Sessions are held on weekday evenings and we have a psychiatrist to supervise medication for those who require it. We also offer other services such as a family programme to augment treatment, as well as private counselling for clients who prefer not to enrol in the Recovery Zones Programme.

The Cabin Chiang Mai's 5th Anniversary & 2015 Alumni Reunion
February 26th and 27th, 2015 were big days for all at The Cabin Chiang Mai. The clinical team, especially, had been looking forward to these dates with much anticipation because it meant they would get to see many of their former clients who were flying in from different parts of the globe to join the 2015 Alumni Reunion and to celebrate The Cabin Chiang Mai’s 5th Anniversary.
Highlights of the two-day event, which kicked off on the evening of Feb 26th were a campfire-style Gratitude Meeting attended by both alumni and current clients, recovery updates from three outstanding alumni, and an Alumni Recognition Ceremony where all former clients were presented with inscribed vintage-silver medals. Of course, as with all Thai celebrations, there was an abundance of great food and entertainment.
Here are some photos of the event

Alumni Update
Though over 1,000 clients have successfully completed treatment with us since we began operations in 2009, we try to stay in touch with all of them and follow their progress. When a client leaves The Cabin Chiang Mai they are just embarking on their journey of recovery, certain to be filled with challenges and temptations as they begin their new life back home. Here we’d like to share some updates from our alumni.

Rosa, Perth, Graduated October 2013
Upon entering The Cabin Reunion I was filled with sense of ease and comfort, this is what I came here for. I was welcomed with smiles and hugs. The joy in everyone else’s faces brought the joy out on mine. We did it! We had walked in there on our own accord without a drug, without a drink, without an active addiction. read more
