The Cabin Chiang Mai 2016 Alumni Reunion
This past February 10th, we hosted our third Alumni Reunion for former clients of The Cabin Chiang Mai – a half-day celebration to mark their successful journeys in recovery thus far, and to encourage them to keep up the good work.
Attended by past clients from countries near and far, the event featured two inspirational personal recovery stories; as well as a “Clean Time Countdown” where both clients and counsellors counted the years, months or weeks they have been sober to rounds of encouraging applause. The highlight, however, was a Recovery Encouragement Gift Ceremony – where the alumni generously presented gifts to each of The Cabin’s current clients as a token of encouragement to stick with their treatment. The Cabin also presented the alumni with reunion souvenirs in the form of custom-made luggage tags – an allusion to their recovery journeys and how they must keep travelling on.

Alumni Update
Though over 1,700 clients have successfully completed treatment with us since we began operations in 2010, we try to stay in touch with all of them and follow their progress. When a client leaves The Cabin Chiang Mai they are just embarking on their journey of recovery, certain to be filled with challenges and temptations as they begin their new life back home. Here we’d like to share some updates from our alumni.

Although I am a GA, I attend NA meetings because there are no GA meetings in my country.
