After several years of trying to get clean I found myself at The Cabin – it was unlike any other treatment center
I had been to before, the friendly staff and the structure of the program really were what made The Cabin different from other treatment centers. Since leaving in August, I have stayed on in Chiang Mai and begun to study the Thai language and pursue other studies such as healing massage. I have also been doing volunteer work at an orphanage and Care for Dogs which is a center that helps dogs on the streets of Chiang Mai. The Cabin also taught me the importance of the fellowship in recovery; I have been staying plugged in with the fellowship, committing to several service positions and working the steps with my sponsor. I am currently five months clean and doing everything in my power to stay clean and its working. Loving life!
