Clinical Vacancies

Addiction Counsellor
Chiang Mai, Thailand

We are looking for an experienced counsellor with 12 Steps, CBT experience. Clients are from all over the world. Duties will include holding a caseload of five clients (but you will also be conducting online aftercare with previous clients), which will consist of 2 hours weekly one-to-one therapy for each, and sharing in the facilitating of three group counseling sessions a day over five days a week. These group sessions are a morning reflection (process group) where clients discuss a recovery topic and then share their process/feelings, followed by a group where clients do detailed work in group (i.e. share their mind maps with the groups – parts of their inventories etc).

In addition you will be doing assessments following enquiries, intakes when they arrive, reports for referring agents (or parents/families where appropriate) and also where appropriate some family intervention. Also there is frequent organising and liaising with the medical team who are onsite 24/7, for any residents who have medications. Obviously there are many other sub-clinical duties we have to deal with on top of the counselling duties when we have emergent situations.
